No Other Control Gets You from Print to Part Faster
The most significant advantage of each Hurco CNC turning center is the power of the integrated Hurco control equipped with WinMax(r) software. The CNC part of our CNC turning centers is what sets us apart from every other builder. While we’re proud of the rigid design of our CNC lathes, it’s our control technology that makes customers more profitable. If you are a Hurco customer, you know why we rave about the productivity benefits of our control. If you're new to Hurco, there are three main points you need to know about our control.
- Our control supports NC and conversational equally well. While we're known for our conversational programming, the NC side of our control accepts FANUC formatted programs, including macros, and is compatible with the most utilized CAM systems.
- All features have a measurable benefit. Each feature we integrate into our software must give our customers a benefit that is measurable—reduce redundancy, decrease programming time, optimize machining time, improve surface finish.
- Easy to learn. Easy to use. We have the most intuitive user interface and logical software in the industry, which means less training time. We invented conversational programming and have continually led the industry to advance control technology so the technology helps machinists be more productive.
"The Hurco is simplistic to the point that it makes anybody productive—anybody. And that's rare…it's rare to have a machine tool that is that user friendly. I don't know any other machine that has a control where you can pull down the file and a half-hour later have a form. You can be mediocre in math, mediocre in geometry, and make a good product in no time."
A Growing Line of CNC Turning Centers
We have a turning center to fit your application needs and your budget—whether you own a small job shop, you're a tier one supplier, you supervise a tool room at a large company, or you’re a startup pursuing a dream. All of our turning centers are slant-bed lathes and designed for speed and manufacturing flexibility to support a wide range of applications. We have both performance CNC turning centers and general purpose CNC turning centers in addition to mill turn lathes.
Due to Hurco’s culture of innovation and fiscal discipline, we have been able to invest in the expansion of our turning center line. All of our turning centers are equipped with the world’s most powerful control. If you don’t have a Hurco lathe on your shop floor, give us another look. We have a lathe that will make your operation more productive and profitable.
Design Expertise Results in Rigid Turning Centers
The Hurco manufacturing team is relentless when it comes to quality and attention to detail. Like you, they take pride in what they do and what they produce—you can count on a Hurco lathe to last. All of our machine design is conducted in the USA using both static and finite element analysis in addition to reliability analysis. The Hurco team is skilled at user-centric design that results in ergonomic features, such as convenient front access to chuck and tailstock pressure controls in addition to a front loading coolant tank design that makes maintenance easy.
More importantly, the design of Hurco turning centers supports flexible manufacturing, rigidity, and efficient chip removal. It starts with a one-piece slant bed casting that provides higher rigidity in a compact design. The 30-degree slant bed also promotes faster and easier chip removal. All Hurco turning centers are designed with a component isolation system, which keeps the components that generate the most heat isolated to fight heat dissipation and minimize spindle growth. Premium components add to the advanced performance and rigidity, with Yaskawa or Bosch/Rexroth drives, servos, and motors. Additionally, the multiple V-belt design of the spindle promotes higher power transfer with quieter operation.
Numerous chip management features minimize time wasted on cleanup and protect internal components. All of the Hurco turning centers have telescopic way covers to keep chips out and protect the premium components inside your lathe. The inside door keeps coolant and chips inside the machine.
One2One Service + Support
Our service team is the best in the world. Complete control of design and manufacturing means there is one source of accountability at Hurco. You won't need to contact multiple companies to get the help you need. Additionally, our one-stop total customer care system supports our stellar service team so they can get their job done efficiently. If you have a problem, we make it right. Period.
“Hurco has the best service network I’ve seen during my 40 years in the industry. It’s really something you should promote.”

Our Innovation Makes You More Profitable
Compared to our 40-year history of CNC mill development, we are relatively new to lathe technology. Our customers deserve the credit for helping us to develop a broad product line of CNC turning centers for multiple applications during the last several years. They made suggestions, explained their application needs, and worked with us so we could make turning centers that have the same level of productivity as our milling machines.
Another important factor in our success expanding the lathe line is our company’s history of innovation and our financial stability. As a company that has been leading the industry in CNC machining technology for more than 40 years with the accumulation of 80 patents, we have plenty of experience utilizing best practices to develop new products and technology. Due to our financial stability, we have been able to continue developing new control technology features and expand our product line as planned even during the worst economic conditions.
