Why spend 30 minutes aligning your part to the machine when you can spend 30 seconds aligning the machine to the part with Hurco’s unique and easy-to-use part probing? Setup is a snap because the probe finds the part and determines its position on the table. Probing helps with misaligned parts and makes automatic adjustments for part skew.This option is available only on Hurco machining centers.

Hurco’s mechanical touch or laser tool probing is the perfect solution to faster and more accurate tool setup. It reduces setup time by helping the operator set the tool length and diameter. An automatic tool monitoring selection tells the control to check the probed tools upon command for tool breakage or wear. You can also specify the length and diameter tolerances that you wish to use for all your tool monitoring. This option is available for both Hurco mills and lathes.

What makes Hurco's Conversational Probing unique?

Hurco just makes it incredibly easy. There's no need to align the part to the machine using edge finders when it's so much faster to align the machine to the part with probing.
No complex G-code macros to master and edit. Use common sense conversational data blocks. Want to find the center of a bore? Just say so and give approximate coordinates. Press 'GO' and its done.
Can also be used for inprocess gauging with data transmitted to offline PC for quality control.
