Hurco VM Series

The Hurco VM Series (except the VM1 Graphite) utilizes a standard belt-driven spindle capable of up to 8,000 rpm. An optional 10,000-rpm spindle is also available.

The Hurco VM1 Graphite model, designed specifically for high-speed applications like graphite, takes advantage of a motorized spindle capable of 20,000 rpm with an option of 30,000 rpm. Hurco's motorized high-speed spindle uses advanced ceramic hybrid bearing. These bearings run at much lower temperatures, so they have a significantly longer lifespan and a much lower probability of failure. These bearings are packed with lifetime grease, which results in a maintenance free lubrication system.

Keeping the spindle and work area clean is vital to machine performance. So, Hurco incorporates an upper and lower air-purge system to keep contaminants outside the spindle.
