Equal time for NC
NC Programming

When developing WinMax®, we listened to customers and our competitors' customers who were under the impression we only cared about "conversational" and didn't support the NC side. With WinMax®, we developed an enhanced NC interpreter that has increased compatibility with CAD/CAM packages. We also added popular software features, such as concurrent programming, tool and part probing, scaling, and pattern operations, to the G-Code side. In addition to standard M&G Codes, the Hurco control supports additional G-codes as part of its standard package when most other controls offer them as options. The following G-codes come standard on Hurco’s dual screen control: G50.1 Mirror Imaging, G68 Rotation, and G50 Scaling.

Add the ISNC/NCPP (Industry Standard NC/NC Productivity Package) software option and you increase the power of your Hurco control exponentially.

WinMax® features that will be of particular interest to G-Coders include:

  • Tool Center Point Management: 5-Axis programmed once. Place the next part anywhere on the 5-Axis table without reposting. Saves time. Reduces errors.
  • Concurrent G-Code programming: Maximize productivity—edit one program while another is running.
  • NC probing canned cycles: Part zero-corner, hole, rectangle skew-edge, cylinder, rectangle pocket.
  • Graphical Data Block Search: Quick access to specific lines of code for fast edits as needed. Find the line of code you need in one step.
  • NC/Conversational Merge: Apply popular conversational features, such as pattern operations, scaling, tool probing, and part probing, to G-Code programs.
  • Mutli-line G-Code Display: See 11 lines of NC data and current modal states during run time.
  • Advanced Verification Graphics with 3D Solid Rendering: View rendered part from any angle.
  • Tool & Material Library: Enter tool and material specs one time and recall them when needed.

Increase the NC power of your Hurco control with ISNC and NCPP options

Benefits of ISNC option:

  • Permits use of control in conventional NC mode for processing programs created on offline software systems. Allows Hurco machines to be integrated into NC machining operations and networked while still retaining ability to use conversational programming for short run, fast turnaround jobs as needed.
  • Compatible with a wide range of G-Codes and operational macros.
  • Provides three modes of motion control: precision, standard and performance. These are based on the dynamics of the machine and designed for balancing the needs to cut accurately and reduce cycle time.
  • S-curve Acceleration moves through the parts faster and smoother.
  • Jerk Control handles changes in acceleration rate. The machine will not abruptly change the axis feedrate when acceleration rates change.
  • Corner Feedrate Tables optimize the feedrate slowdowns when transitioning between line segments to move through the part faster.
  • 2D and 3D Arc Smoothing generates smooth surfaces even with rough or discontinuous CAD/CAM geometry.
  • NC Tool Path Tolerance is user definable to overcome problems with data resolution introduced by the CAM system when the toolpath is processed.
  • Optimize offline-generated part accuracy and finish at the machine without having to regenerate the program offline.
  • Process 1,100 blocks per second with the standard Hurco control. But with the SelectSurface Finish Quality option, 1,667 blocks per second can be processed.

Benefits of NCPP option:

  • Features fully comprehensive macro support feature that allows the user to create custom subroutines.
  • Provides full math and trig functions, and conditional statements for program control such as While, If and GOTO.
  • Includes access to system and user defined variables and registers.
  • Provides user defined S, B and T codes that allow programmers to customize spindle speed and tool changes.
  • Makes programs more flexible and allows you to reuse sections of programs thereby making the programs smaller and easier to maintain.
