VMX 64 Maching Center

There are some 60" and larger vertical machining centers that are essentially stretched 50" machines. This is not one of them.

The VMX64 is a true 64x34 (X/Y travels) machine, from the ground up. It's frame was purposefully designed to make this the best large-capacity vertical machining center in its class. The frame is a Cat 50-caliber design, even on the Cat 40 version.

As is the case with all Hurco machines, the Hurco control and its capabilities give the VMX64 the unmatched ability to increase productivity and efficiency.

The 40-taper VMX64 provides the option of either a 24 or 40 station automatic tool changer. The VMX64-50T comes with a 50 taper spindle and a completely redesigned head and column to take the heavier cutting loads and maintain high cut quality. It also comes standard with a 32-station tool changer and an 8,000 RPM spindle.

All Hurco VMX models include many standard features that are typically offered as options on most other vertical machining center brands.

VMX64 Features / Options:

Huge work cube (50% larger on average than competitor models) lets the operator schedule a wider variety of work.
Robust conversational and NC programming tools provide the shop with options on how best to approach a particular part.
Advanced NC functionality includes graphical data-block searching which eliminates the tedious work of finding specific lines of code. Just point to a spot on the graphic and the Hurco control goes immediately to the corresponding lines of code.
Exceptional cutting feed rates of up to 600 ipm. Couple that with surface finishing and other process automation software options to get the fastest cut with the best quality.
The optional conversational probing aligns the machine to the part, not the other way around. That saves a tremendous amount of setup time.
