Hurco Holds Fourth Annual Technology Seminar and Track Day
INDIANAPOLIS—Hurco Companies, Inc. hosted its fourth annual Technology Seminar and Track Day event on August 6, 2004, at its headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana.
More than 300 manufacturers throughout Indiana and the Midwest attended the event and offered praise for Hurco’s expanded product offerings, which included a new product line, a series of three, single-spindle, slant-bed turning centers, a graphite machining center, the third model in Hurco’s popular VM series and a new five-axis machining center. Each of the new products will be officially introduced at the IMTS 2004 show in Chicago starting September 8th.
Of course, each of the new machines is equipped with Hurco’s powerful control. The simplicity and power of Hurco’s conversational control is what made the company famous. What many don’t know is that the Hurco control also provides extremely robust NC programming that is ideal for complex applications.
The full line of Hurco’s “Best In Class” VM and VMX series machining centers was also on display. This impressive lineup is evidence of Hurco’s significant investment in its future. Hurco has never before offered so many models. If there is a machine tool company on the move, it’s Hurco.
Guests also had the opportunity to visit with a variety of tooling, measuring, material handling, and CAM equipment exhibitors in Hurco’s “Vendor Alley” as well as attend their choice of three technology seminars. Seminars were presented on “Machining Economics”, “High Speed Machining” and “Coolant Cleaning”.
Pat McKee, Vice-President of Sales for Hurco USA, says, “It’s great to see the response, especially for these lathes. We broke a record for attendance and the introduction of the lathe has a lot to do with it.”
After a productive morning learning about Hurco’s latest technology, visiting exhibits from various equipment vendors and attending technology presentations, Hurco’s guests enjoyed a catered lunch, and then boarded shuttle busses to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for an afternoon of exciting Brickyard 400® racing action.
