Braun Machinery to feature Hurco machine tools at Great Lakes 2007 show
News Release

NDIANAPOLIS—Braun Machinery will demonstrate the power of Hurco machine tools and the new Hurco control software, WinMax, at the Great Lakes Exposition at DeVos Place in Grand Rapids, Mich., September 18-20. The Braun booth (#508) will feature the Hurco VM1 and VMX42 vertical machining centers and theTM6 turning center.

With travels of 42x24x24 and the flexible Hurco control, the VMX42 handles applications of almost any size and complexity. The VMX42 is known for its large work cube, fast feed rates, small footprint, and reliability. As with all VMX machine tools, the VMX42 includes many standard features that other brands offer as options.

The Hurco VM1 vertical machining center is both economical in size and price, the VM1 features a 20-station automatic tool changer, a flexible control, and oversized work cube (26x14x18”). In addition to the integrated Hurco control that provides NC and conversational programming as standard, the small footprint of the VM1 makes it very attractive for small job shops and for larger organizations that need to find a cost effective way to do low volume lot sizes to support their customers' requests for just-in-time initiatives.

Hurco's TM6 CNC slant-bed turning center is equipped with a 6-inch chuck and has a maximum cutting diameter of 10 inches. It's the perfect size for even the smallest of shops and ideally suited for bar feeder work. The TM6 is a true slant-bed lathe, which is not common for a machine so compact. The single-piece bed casting provides excellent control of cutting forces.

All of the Hurco machines at the Braun booth (#508) will be running the newest technology innovation in productivity from Hurco—WinMax control software. WinMax provides measurable time savings and process improvements due to 25 new features and hundreds of enhancements, such as reduced key strokes; touch screen navigation; and interactive graphics with 3D solid rendering, dynamic rotation, and real time tool display.
